About Justin

Justin Lawson is a co-founder and board member of JJELLYFISH, which he started with Jen Abel in 2016 to give B2B founders the commercial partner they were missing. Since then the firm has worked with hundreds of early-stage companies, many of them entering the U.S. from abroad, on the part of the business that cannot be outsourced: finding the buyer, running the conversation, and turning it into a repeatable motion.

He is currently Chief Revenue Officer at State Affairs, the state-government news and intelligence company, where he leads revenue and has helped raise successive rounds of financing. His view of the job is the same one he brings to JJELLYFISH clients: build revenue teams that take on hard problems, own the outcome, and stay close to the customer.

Before JJELLYFISH, Justin was a founding member of the enterprise team at The Muse, where he built the enterprise go-to-market motion alongside Jen. Earlier he led strategic partnerships at Intent Media and business partnerships at Apple. He holds a BA from Stony Brook University and is based in New York.
